The plant will open in 2009, and the Northern Echo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thisisthenortheast.co.uk\/business\/news\/display.var.1394222.0.region_leading_the_way_on_green_issues.php\">reports<\/a> that the plant will turn 1.2 million tons of wheat into 400 million liters of ethanol a year. Ensus says that&#8217;s about a third of the UK&#8217;s demand by 2010. Miliband rode in a Saab 9-5 BioPower to and from the event.<\/p>\n<p>Nearby, the Biofuels Corporation of Teesside also makes biodiesel, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autobloggreen.com\/2006\/07\/06\/british-politician-mixes-new-mercedes-with-b5-veggie-fuel\/\">sometimes for politicians<\/a>.
