I don&#8217;t know where he gets these and I&#8217;m not going to ask.  The original is a MS Word document with track changes revealing edits by the Bush administration.  <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve uploaded a .pdf <a href=\"http:\/\/weblog.greenpeace.org\/makingwaves\/G8%20Summit%20Declaration%20-%20US%20comments%20May%2014-1.pdf\">copy of the leaked G8 draft here<\/a>. And here&#8217;s some off the cuff commentary from Daniel (one of our political advisors):<\/p>\n<p>On May 24th, German Chancellor Merkel sheepishly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/feeds\/ap\/2007\/05\/24\/ap3755686.html\">admitted<\/a> that the G8 may not agree on how to deal with climate change when they meet in Heiligendamm from June 6th-8th. She had probably been <a href=\"http:\/\/weblog.greenpeace.org\/makingwaves\/G8%20Summit%20Declaration%20-%20US%20comments%20May%2014-1.pdf\">reading  the US comments<\/a> on the G8 climate document. Merkel prides herself on getting on<br \/>\nwith Bush. But like Bush\u00e2\u0080\u0099s friend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenpeace.org.uk\/blog\/climate\/mr-and-mrs-smith\">Blair<\/a>, she was wrong to hope that Bush would change his oil-trenched mind on climate change.
