As one of the fastest-growing economies, China requires a large reliable source of power to continue its growth. To meet energy demand, China has now officially listed nuclear power as part of their national power plan. China will nearly quadruple its nuclear generating capacity by the year 2020.

Technical tracks at ICONE 13 include:

Track 1 – Plant Operations, Installation and Life Cycle
Track 2 – Major Components Reliability and Materials Issues
Track 3 – Structural Integrity and Dynamics
Track 4 – Nuclear Engineering Advances
Track 5 – Near Term Deployment and Next Generation Systems
Track 6 – Safety and Security
Track 7 – Codes, Standards, Licensing and Regulatory
Track 8 – Fuel Cycle and High Level Waste Management
Track 9 – Low Level Waste Management and Decommissioning
Track 10 – Thermal Hydraulics
Track 11 – Promotion of Nuclear Energy

The Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS), The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) are jointly organizing ICONE 13.
