American Ecology Corporation (NASDAQ: ECOL) today announced the appointment of Eric L. Gerratt, CPA, as Vice President and Controller.
Gerratt, 36, joins American Ecology from SUPERVALU, Inc. where he most recently served as Vice President of Accounting. Prior to SUPERVALU, he held various director level accounting positions at Albertsons, Inc. after service with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he provided audit, accounting and business advisory services.
“Eric brings extensive financial reporting and management experience to our company as well as significant Sarbanes Oxley, acquisition and post-acquisition integration expertise,” commented Jeff Feeler, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “We are very excited that Eric is joining our finance and accounting team,” Feeler added.
The position of Controller was formerly held by Feeler, who was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in May 2007.
